Methods used will include various manual means, Soil Cultivation and by application of a corn gluten based pre-emergent herbicides. (We do not use any non organic chemical herbicides)

Appropriate organic fertilizers applied to lawns, roses, azaleas & camellias, fruit trees (including citrus), and other landscape trees, shrubs and perennials, as needed. 123

May include removal of winter damage to small trees, vines, shrubs and perennials; light shearing or hand pruning of hedges & other landscape plants to shape & control growth; & seasonal rose and fruit tree pruning. (Major pruning jobs will need to be scheduled seperately)

Fertilizing 3-4 times a year is part of quarterly maintenance: Annual lawn renewal is available as well as aerating, reseeding and lawn composting will be done upon request only and is above and beyond regular maintenance and will be billed at time at time and material.

Checking drip irrigation & sprinkler systems for leaks, breaks, clogged emitters, and broken sprinkler heads + scheduling of automatic timers. Since we only come 4 times a year it is recommended that you the home owner familiarize yourself with the irrigation timer so you can make any necessary adjustments as needed according to your soil type and plant requirements; if you require assistance, we will be glad to help. (Major repairs or additions would need to be scheduled seperately)

Major emphasis in fall & winter - includes removal of leaves, branches & other debris ( if suitable this material may be added to client’s compost pile); dead-heading of herbaceous material such as perennials, annuals, & bulbs; clean-up of vegetable gardens (if requested); & blowing or sweeping of all walkways, patios, decks, & driveways.

Rose & fruit tree pruning and dormant oil application for disease & insect prevention.

A comprehensive check of irrigation systems + assessment of winter damage.

Weed and pest control measures, renewal dead-heading of annuals & perennials, & light pruning for growth control of shrubs, fruit trees & small trees.

Lawn renewal (if needed and at homeowners approval) + preparing the garden for winter (beginning of seasonal leaf clean-up).

EarthCare Landscaping’s gardening service will be performed on a quarterly basis, with subsequent visits planned approximately every three months.

Clients will be notified in advance of scheduled services via email; it is preferred that you the client confirm the service date once notified as it will be assumed that the service is a go unless told otherwise via email or phone call 24 hours prior to the service appointment.

This gardening service will be billed on a time plus materials basis.

The current labor charge is $38.00 per man hour for landscape technicians and $45.00 per man hour for foreman or supervisors.

The amount of time needed will depend on the size and condition of the property, the season of the year, and the client’s wishes.

A minimum time of six (6) man hours will be scheduled for each visit, however the actual time needed to complete the work for any one property; however, could be significantly more.

In addition, there will be a fee assessed for materials used. Materials will include, but not be limited to, such items as: organic fertilizers, compost for top-dressing, simple irrigation repair parts, and organic pest control supplies.

Unless the homeowner specifies otherwise, EarthCare will dispose of all yard waste generated by this service.

The minimum charge for removal of yard waste will be $35. The $35 fee will apply to single tarps of yard waste (1 cubic yard or less) removed from client’s property by the maintenance crew. If the amount of yard waste generated requires a pick-up by one of our dump trucks, the hauling and dump fees incurred for the disposal of yard waste will increase to $60 for the first cubic yard.

Additional yards will be billed at $35/cubic yard.
